Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav, who came to Rajya Sabha in BJP's first list for Lok Sabha elections, has been given ticket from Alwar, Mansukh Mandaviya of Rajasthan, Porbandar of Gujarat and Rajeev Chandrashekhar from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Jagran Bureau, New Delhi. Adopting the successful formula of assembly elections in three states, BJP announced the names of more than one-third of its candidates even before the announcement of Lok Sabha elections. The first name in the first list of 195 candidates is that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will be contesting for the third time from his old constituency Varanasi. Along with him, Rajnath Singh will again contest from Lucknow and Amit Shah from Gandhinagar.
BJP trusts Shivraj and Om Birla
Whereas Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav, who is currently in Rajya Sabha, has been given ticket from Alwar in Rajasthan, Mansukh Mandaviya from Porbandar in Gujarat and Rajiv Chandrashekhar from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan and former Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Deb have also got tickets. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has again got the ticket from Kota. Generally, BJP changes a large number of faces in its candidate list. But this time, changes in the list released so far are visible only in those states where a new equation of opposition alliance has emerged or there is a huge anti-incumbency wave against the candidate.
Announcement of four new candidates in Delhi
Delhi is a big example of this where there is an alliance between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party. The party has given four new names out of the list of five candidates released so far. After canceling the ticket of Minister Meenakshi Lekhi from New Delhi, new activist and Sushma Swaraj's daughter Bansuri Swaraj has been made the candidate here. A major reason for the change in some names in states like Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh is that many MPs had contested the assembly elections there.

Giving information about the candidates decided in the Central Election Committee meeting held two days ago, BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde said that the Lok Sabha seats of 16 states are included in the first list.

BJP expressed confidence in Manoj Tiwari
Except Manoj Tiwari, other four faces are new in Delhi. According to Vinod Tawde, all classes, societies and castes have been represented in the selection of candidates. Of these, 34 are women, 27 are from Scheduled Caste, 18 are from Scheduled Tribe and 57 are from OBC. Giving importance to youth power, 47 youth below 50 years of age have also been fielded. In Kerala, BJP has also made a strategy to break the spell in Kerala by fielding Union Minister Rajeev Chandrashekhar against Shashi Tharoor from Thiruvananthapuram along with veteran Congress leader AK Antony's son Anil Antony and actor Suresh Gopi. Congress MP Geeta Koda, who recently joined BJP, has been given ticket from Singhbhum.
Keeping the target of crossing 400 in mind
Similarly, Ritesh Pandey, who left BSP and joined BJP, has also been made the candidate from Ambedkar Nagar. 34 Union Ministers have also got a place in the first list of BJP. According to Vinod Tawde, the candidates have been selected keeping in mind the target of 370 seats for BJP and more than 400 seats for NDA. For this, after conducting a survey at the local level, the names of the candidates were discussed in the election committees of the state. Based on the reports of the state election committees, the selection of the candidates was approved in the meeting of the Central Election Committee held in the presence of Prime Minister Modi and party president JP Nadda.
In a significant development leading up to the much-anticipated 2024 general elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its candidate list, stirring up political discourse across the nation. Titled "BJP Candidate List 2024: Modi will contest from Varanasi, Shah from Gandhinagar; Political equations will change with BJP's first list," this announcement sets the stage for an intense electoral battle. Let's delve into the ramifications of this strategic move by the ruling party.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to contest from Varanasi yet again underscores the BJP's confidence in retaining its stronghold in the region. Varanasi holds immense symbolic significance for the BJP, as it not only represents the spiritual heartland of India but also serves as a political bastion for the party. With Modi's formidable track record and widespread popularity, his candidature from Varanasi is poised to consolidate the BJP's position in Uttar Pradesh and energize its electoral campaign nationwide.
Similarly, the announcement of Home Minister Amit Shah's candidacy from Gandhinagar, Gujarat, marks a strategic manoeuvre aimed at reinforcing the BJP's dominance in its traditional strongholds. Shah's nomination from Gandhinagar, a seat previously held by Modi, underscores the party's commitment to continuity and stability. Moreover, Shah's formidable political acumen and organizational skills make him a formidable contender, further bolstering the BJP's prospects in the crucial state of Gujarat.
The unveiling of BJP's candidate list for the 2024 elections is not merely a routine exercise; it signifies a recalibration of political equations and power dynamics across the country. With Modi and Shah leading the charge from Varanasi and Gandhinagar respectively, the BJP aims to send a clear message of strength and stability to its supporters and adversaries alike. This bold move is likely to galvanize the party cadre and instil confidence among voters, setting the stage for a fiercely contested electoral battle.
Furthermore, the BJP's first list of candidates is indicative of its strategic approach towards coalition politics and alliance-building. By carefully selecting candidates who can appeal to diverse constituencies and communities, the party aims to broaden its electoral base and secure a decisive mandate in the upcoming elections. The inclusion of seasoned leaders alongside fresh faces reflects the BJP's commitment to nurturing talent and fostering inclusivity within its ranks.
However, the unveiling of the BJP's candidate list also heralds a period of intense scrutiny and speculation within political circles. As rivals assess the strengths and weaknesses of the BJP's nominees, alliances are likely to be reshaped, and strategies recalibrated to counter the ruling party's electoral juggernaut. The ripple effects of this development are expected to reverberate across the political landscape, shaping the contours of the 2024 electoral battle.
Moreover, the BJP's decision to field Modi and Shah from Varanasi and Gandhinagar respectively is not devoid of symbolism and strategic calculation. Varanasi, often hailed as the spiritual capital of India, holds immense cultural and religious significance, making it a crucial battleground for the BJP. Similarly, Gandhinagar, situated in the heart of Gujarat, holds strategic importance as the home state of both Modi and Shah, thus reinforcing the party's connect with its grassroots supporters.
As the political discourse intensifies in the run-up to the 2024 elections, the BJP's candidate list assumes paramount importance, setting the tone and tenor for the ensuing electoral battle. With Modi and Shah at the helm, the BJP aims to harness the power of incumbency and popular support to secure a resounding victory. However, the road ahead is fraught with challenges and uncertainties, as the opposition gears up to mount a spirited challenge to the ruling dispensation.
In conclusion, the unveiling of the BJP's candidate list for the 2024 elections marks a watershed moment in Indian politics, with far-reaching implications for the country's future trajectory. Titled "BJP Candidate List 2024: Modi will contest from Varanasi, Shah from Gandhinagar; Political equations will change with BJP's first list," this announcement encapsulates the party's vision, strategy, and resolve to secure a decisive mandate. As the electoral battle heats up, all eyes will be on Varanasi and Gandhinagar, where Modi and Shah will lead the BJP's charge with determination and purpose.
